Growing up with Ghanaian and Japanese heritage, I could not find a foundation that matched my skin when I first tried makeup. I used a shade that was far too light and was mocked for how it looked. That experience damaged my confidence and left me wondering why there was no shade made for me.
As I looked deeper, I discovered that many people in Japan share the same struggle: they cannot find cosmetics that match their skin tone, and are excluded from the joy of makeup.

Our BB Cream Is in Development
Lumiskin is more than a cosmetics brand for deeper skin tones. We want people who have long been overlooked by the beauty industry to feel proud of their skin rather than pressured to hide it.
Starting with products for deeper skin tones, we aim to grow into an inclusive cosmetics brand with a rich shade range that helps people of every tone and background express who they are.
Our first BB cream will launch in Tan, Deep and Very Deep, planned for Spring 2027.
Community Events
We organize events where people with multicultural roots can meet and connect. Our goal is not only to build a following, but to create a community people recognize as meaningful and necessary.

Raised with Ghanaian and Japanese heritage, she founded Lumiskin from her own experience. She left beauty school to focus fully on the venture.
